How to start Blogging?

Writing my thoughts on paper warms up my mind and I don’t really feel overwhelmed by the tones of options out there. It’s funny that I still use a 2019 diary. The date is correct by the way.

So, for the past few weeks, I am asking this question to myself — “ How should I start a Blog?”. I have been dwelling on how to write a blog from a long time now. And I realized the only thing that was holding me back was, deciding where to write and what to write about.

Even now when I am writing this, I don’t really know what I should write about but surprisingly, this whole issue of not knowing is motivating me into writing more. It doesn’t matter if I am just jotting down my thoughts right now, the thing that matters is that, a minute ago I was thinking that I have nothing to write about but now, I have.

I want to talk about the real problem here. The deal is not that people don’t know how to write, the deal is that they don’t know how, where and when to start. The overwhelming nature of the internet gives us so many option that sometimes it becomes really hard to filter out one. The whole experience of putting something on the internet can be really stressful for some people. It doesn’t matter how many people read it, maybe 10 or a 1000 or maybe nobody reads it at all. But when a person writes on a piece of paper it is far more secretive than writing it to an entire audience. Its like you are reading that piece of paper in public. The whole anxiety behind how’s it going to be, will people like it or not makes it hard to take that one step forward. But believe me, once you start writing and if you are expressing yourself properly and entirely, then it doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks. I mean people might like it or hate it and thats it. Think of it this way, after some years you’ll either laugh at what you wrote or feel proud. Either way you’ll learn something new about yourself.

My suggestion about “How to really start a Blog?” is that just start writing, whatever you have on your mind, whichever platform you see first and whenever you want to. There are myriad things that one needs to learn in order to start a proper blogging website but the principle thing never changes which is writing. And the things you will learn on your own during this process will remain forever with you. If you are not into typing write it on a piece of paper and post it. And you will be reading it out loud in front of the whole world.
