How to pack small?

Had to fit everything in this small bag.

One of the things that I have always wondered about travelling that how can we pack small and yet carry everything that is appropriate. And I have realized that you don’t learn this unless and until you do this on your own.

Recently, I travelled to one of the most beautiful provinces in Canada, Alberta. This trip not only taught me how to manage everything properly but also how to pack efficiently.

I have some tips that I would like to share with everyone. And I believe that it can help anyone to take that one step forward in packing everything properly.

Tip #1: Roll Everything

We all have probably seen those videos on different social media platforms where people are rolling their T-shirts and everything to fit them in the bag. It might seem useless but it really isn’t. When you do it yourself you realize that you can actually fit a lot of stuff if you try to do it that way. I literally used to think that its just a waste of time that you roll first and then you have to iron them again but it is not the case you can just wear it like that and it never gets wrinkled. Even if you want to iron it, you can do that in just under 5–10 minutes and nowadays every place has these facilities and you don’t really have to think about it. My advice, try this method and you’ll never go back.

Tip #2: Only Essentials

The next and the most important of all, pack only the things that you need. Packing things that are not essential might create a chaos and it will be really difficult for you to manage everything. Unless and until you are going on a really long trip or stay, you should try to minimize your overall weight and size of luggage. One thing to do this properly is by pre-deciding what you want to wear everyday. This method minimize the space and helps you get ready fast when you are on the trip. You should always carry at least one extra pair of clothing in cases if some of them gets dirty, otherwise you can always use a washing machine.

Tip #3: Use all the extra space

Another way to minimize the size of your bag is by using all the unused space inside your bag. For example you are carrying shoes, you can use the space inside your shoes to store some extra stuff. It feels like that this will not make much difference when I am saying it like that but when you actually do it, you’ll be surprised to see that how effective this method is.
